WELCOME TO THIS MONTHS THEME OF SEPTEMBER ” Studio Work”
Working in the photography studio presents a compelling duality for me—it is both an inspiring space to showcase work and a daunting environment to create within. As an artist deeply influenced by my surroundings, the studio’s blank, neutral backdrop often feels as challenging as it is full of potential, not unlike a stark white canvas awaiting its first stroke.
At times, the infinite creative possibilities can feel overwhelming. Yet, it is precisely this openness that ignites my process. The studio becomes a space where each decision—from the colors I introduce to the textures and garments brought in by the model—guides the direction of the shoot. My visual language often begins with the clothing, or the intentional absence of it. These elements serve as the first layer of expression, shaping the mood, narrative, and aesthetic of my work. In this way, the studio, though seemingly void, becomes an active collaborator in the evolution of my style.
